I believe fine writing is art and can deal with darkness. Among my early works is my Vietnam-era novel, Where Dragons Dwell (Harper's Magazine Press). But now I find fiction trivializes real experience, and thus concentrate on memoir in my writing and in the Authentic Writing Workshops that I do with my wife Marta Szabo, author of The Guru Looked Good.
